Welcome to our school build website. On the 1st September 2019 we will officially open the doors to our new school building. We are benefiting from a share of £2bn Government funding through the Priority School Building Programme. This will see about 280 schools around the country being either upgraded or replaced.
The plans will see Jericho completely rebuilt on our site with a new two-storey building.
This will not only give us all a new home but will enable us to increase our roll from 54 in each year group to 60.
Work started on site during the summer of 2018. The back of the school hall was knocked down and additional drainage was put into the school playground.
Next came the groundwork for our new school building. The builders have created new drainage across the site and the foundations of the new build were laid.
The new school hall framework was then constructed and the cranes arrived to lift our each of the new modules in place.
In February the modules landed. Each one was 18m long. It took over 3 weeks to put all the modules in place. Especially as they kept getting stuck at the top of the driveway!
